Arizona officials say a person was detained on Feb. 10 in connection with the suspected kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, just hours after authorities released surveillance footage of a potential masked suspect at the 84-year-old’s door.

Law enforcement has not identified the person in custody or said whether it’s the same person seen in the black and white surveillance footage from Guthrie’s home outside Tucson, Arizona. FBI Director Kash Patel called the person in the video a "person of interest," but the person being held has not been characterized that way.

Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed late on the evening of Feb. 10 that the person detained in Arizona is being questioned in connection with the investigation into what happened to the mother of Savannah Guthrie.

Here’s what we know so far.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the person authorities were questioning on Feb. 10 was detained south of Tucson. Guthrie’s home is located just outside the city.
