New York Fashion Week is descending on a still-frozen city this February.
While the wind-chill may rise from the low negatives, frenzied reporters and the fresh faces of fashion alike will no doubt see a stiletto or two sink into the still-not-cleared snow banks flanking most sidewalks.
While the formal festivities for fall/winter 2026 shows don't kick off until Wednesday, Feb. 11, fashion elite began gathering Monday, to toast to the season.
If runways in Milan and Paris offer any early hint, NYFW may be defined more by curved silhouettes and soft edges than by harsh angles and bright yet classic colorplay in place of the ever-present clean-girl aesthetic. Attendees can expect shows from high-profile design houses like Coach, Sergio Hudson and Norma Kamali, their front rows now doubt packed with A-listers. Celebrities like Anne Hathaway and Gigi Hadid have already been spotted.
The first official day of New York Fashion Week fall/winter 2026 is Wednesday, Feb. 11. The last events fall on Monday, Feb. 16. However, some designers have off-calendar shows ahead of time, including Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren.
