GAZA: Medical sources in the Gaza Strip have reported that thousands of patients and wounded individuals face an uncertain fate due to the collapse of the enclave’s healthcare system. They said that the few hospitals still operating in Gaza are struggling to maintain services and have become waiting rooms for thousands of patients and injured people whose future remains unclear.

They added that the catastrophic effects of this “health annihilation” have made the continuation of healthcare a “daily miracle” and present a major challenge to recovery efforts and the restoration of many specialized services.

According to sources, the severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies has turned even the simplest painkillers into an unaffordable luxury.

The sources noted that cancer and hematology are among treatments most affected by the crisis.

The limited quantities of medicines reaching the Strip’s hospitals are insufficient to meet the actual needs for the continuation of healthcare services.
