Hyderabad, major pharmaceutical hub in India, can help the country lead in biologics and next-generation therapy revolution by strengthening translational research, establishing specialised manufacturing clusters and forging multi-discipline scientific collaborations, Director, Aurobindo Pharma, M. Madan Mohan Reddy said on Saturday.
To emerge as a global centre for AI and for data-driven drug development, he urged the industry to adopt integrated computational science across discoveries and real-world evidence generation, besides joint research programmes, incubations, and responsible manufacturing to emerge as a green pharma hub.
Mr. Reddy was speaking at the 14th convocation ceremony at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad here. He was, for his contribution to the pharmaceutical industry, conferred with the honorary doctorate.
According to him, the future of healthcare would not be by established paths, but by forging new ones, and urged the graduating students to carry three tools for lifelong learning and success – curiosity, strong value system, and holistic learning.
He also observed that technological competence while is essential, curiosity and lifelong learning guided by values will drive innovation and make India a global epicentre of bio innovation.
