C. Veeramani, director, Centre for Development Studies (CDS), on Thursday emphasised the need for student-led academic interactions, while inaugurating Crossroads 2026, a PhD colloquium at the CDS.
Such interactions help students engage, discuss and learn from each other that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution in research, he said. Two panels on ‘Technology Identity and Power’ and ‘Firm Dynamics and Performance’ were held on the first day. The event will continue till Saturday with more academic interactions on the themes agriculture and rural development,development and vulnerability, economics of climate change, labour markets and outcomes and expert-led special sessions. Scholars from institutes across the country are participating in the event.
