Chappell Roan is having a good laugh over the people who took her Grammys outfit seriously.

"Giggling because I don’t even think this is THAT outrageous of an outfit. The look's actually so awesome and weird," she wrote in a Feb. 2 Instagram post. "I recommend just exercising your free will it's really fun and silly :D."

For the Feb. 1 award ceremony, the 27-year-old "Pink Pony Club" singer donned a sheer, wine-colored custom Mugler gown that was held up by nipple rings. Save for a pair of underwear and temporary tattoos scattered across her torso and back, Roan was bare. Her signature red curls flowed down to her lower back.

She later covered up for interviews by wearing a matching cape that flowed in a train behind her.

Though she received best pop solo performance and record of the year nominations for "The Subway," she was shut out by Recording Academy voters this year.
