Working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K.T. Rama Rao has asked the party ranks, district presidents, municipal coordinators and assembly constituency in-charges to work hard for the next one week to ensure huge success of the party candidates in the municipal elections.

In a teleconference with them on Tuesday, he said people across the State were fed up with the Congress party just in two years of its coming to power and there was large-scale disappointment as the government had betrayed every section on the pre-poll promises. There was an atmosphere in favour of BRS and the party ranks and leaders were expected to channelise it into victory in municipal elections.

He reminded the party leaders that the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were limited only to a handful of municipalities in the last elections as the BRS had swept the polls. Coordination among the party leaders and ranks was key for success strategy and asked them to actively involve all those who had withdrawn their nomination papers as rebels following the request made by the party leadership.

He told the campaign in-charges to go to the homes of all such rebels who had withdrawn from the contest and invite them to take part in the party’s campaign actively. They should be taken along and given proper respect by the municipal coordinators, he suggested. He asked the coordinators to send a report to the party headquarters immediately on the field-level position since the process of nominations was over.
