It is no secret that Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi is anxious to pass the Broadcasting Bill. Upon taking office in late December 2022, he announced his wish to push forward a reform of the communications industry. A few months ago, he brought the broadcast bill before the Knesset for its first reading: a government-sponsored bill intended to reregulate Israel's broadcasting market – particularly TV broadcasts, but also radio and the internet.
