evenue Minister K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran, on Friday, inaugurated the newly-laid portion of Aruppukkottai West Bypass Road that would directly connect Virudhunagar with Tiruchuli Road and Madurai-Thoothukudi highway without the vehicles having to go through the congested roads of Aruppukottai town.

The 9.1-km-long road has been constructed at a cost of ₹154.99 crore under the Integrated Road Infrastructure Development Programme (IRIDP) 2022–2023.
