MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. ― Federal agents shot a man in Minneapolis on Saturday morning, according to eyewitnesses and officials, sparking clashes between demonstrators and law enforcement.
Video shows at least six masked agents wrestling a man to the ground before shooting him multiple times. It’s unclear what started the confrontation. The Minnesota Star Tribune reports that the man was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.
The video was taken from inside Glam Doll Donuts, where an employee confirmed to HuffPost that the shooting happened.
“I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning,” Walz posted on social media. “Minnesota has had it. This is sickening. The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.”
Law enforcement and protesters swarmed a nearby intersection where the shooting took place as a swelling crowd yelled “shame!” and “fuck ICE!”
