An MS NOW reporter documenting ongoing clashes Saturday between protesters and law enforcement in Minneapolis, Minnesota, captured the furor of an older man navigating the smoke-filled streets after a fatal shooting earlier in the morning.
The man was directing his rage at federal agents after a 37-year-old resident was shot and killed earlier in the morning in what DHS claims was a federal officer acting in self-defense.
“Fuck you!” the man screamed as tear gas filled the air. “Stop! Look out! Damn!”
Federal immigration agents at the scene continued to fire tear gas canisters at protesters, clouding the air with bright white smoke. The MS NOW reporter approached the man to ask if he was OK, prompting him to confirm that he was physically “all right.”
“I’m just angry!” the man screamed. “I’m 70 years old, and I’m fucking angry!”
