The seventh edition of ‘Made in Madurai’ exhibition organised by the Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA) was inaugurated on Friday at the MADITSSIA Hall here.
General Manager of Madurai District Industries Centre S. Ganesan urged the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to fully utilise the land that was allocated for industrial purposes in Madurai district.
The exhibition served as a vital platform to encourage the establishment of more factories by leveraging various State government subsidies, he said.
President of Tamil Nadu Small and Tiny Industries Association S. Vasudevan said such exhibitions were instrumental in building the professional networks. District-level events instil the confidence needed to scale up to international standards.
He said there was a need to create industry-specific web portals to bridge existing gaps within the MSME sector.
