Phil Collins revealed his health challenges are ongoing and require he receive 24-hour care.

The Genesis drummer, 74, opened up about his health struggles as he continues to grapple with the complications from his 2007 spinal injury, which caused damage to vertebrae in his upper neck and subsequent nerve damage.

"You know, I have a 24-hour live-in nurse to make sure I take my medication as I should do. I've had challenges with my knee," he said in BBC's "Eras" podcast series. "I had everything that could go wrong with me, did go wrong with me."

After five surgeries on his knee, Collins said he only has one that works, adding, "I can walk, albeit with assistance, you know, crutches or whatever."

"I got COVID in (the) hospital. My kidneys started to back up. Everything seemed to converge at the same time," he said.
