California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Wednesday the State Department effectively blocked him from speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland by denying him entry to a venue they control.
The State Department is an official partner of "USA House," a church which is acting as the official American pavilion at the forum. The department denied Newsom entry despite a scheduled live interview with Fortune Magazine.
"How weak and pathetic do you have to be to be this scared of a fireside chat?," Newsom wrote on social media.
