Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Membership to President Donald Trump's "Board of Peace" comes with a $1 billion price tag, media outlets reported Sunday.
The committee was initially framed as way to redevelop Gaza following Israel's attacks on the region during the Israel-Hamas War.
However, the board's charter, which was distributed with invitations over the weekend, does not mention Gaza, the New York Times reported.
That document instead says that the group will "promote stability, restore dependable and lawful governance and secure enduring peace in areas affected or threatened by conflict," but does not specify what that means in practice, according to the Times.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, World Bank leader Ajay Banga and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner are among the board's members.
