Unfiltered tweeter
A map of Greenland painted with the colors of the American flag, accompanied by the word "soon." With her post on X on January 3 suggesting an imminent US takeover of the island in the wake of the military operation launched in Venezuela, Katie Miller turned up the heat and provoked a wave of indignant diplomatic reactions. The Danish ambassador to the US, Jesper Møller Sørensen, notably called for "full respect" for Greenland's territorial integrity, while the island's prime minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, deemed the post "disrespectful." The reason her tweet resonated so widely is that Katie Miller, 34, is the wife of Stephen Miller, deputy chief of staff and homeland security adviser at the White House, and one of the most zealous advocates of the United States annexing Greenland. This desire for annexation was reiterated by Donald Trump himself on January 11.
Early Trump supporter
Nicknamed "Trad-Wife in Chief" by Slate and "MAGA Mom" by The Guardian, this University of Florida graduate, born Katie Waldman, has been a Trump supporter from the outset. During Donald Trump's first term, she served as spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security before joining Vice President Mike Pence's staff. She soon formed a power couple with Stephen Miller, Trump's adviser and a staunch hardliner on immigration, whom she married at the Trump Hotel in Washington in 2020, with the president in attendance.
