Jan. 14 (UPI) -- The surviving members of Renee Good's family and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer Jonathan Ross each have retained or are seeking legal representation ahead of likely legal cases.

Good's family has retained the services of the Chicago-based Romanucci & Blandin law firm that represented the family of George Floyd, who died while pinned to the ground by a Minneapolis police officer in 2020.

Attorney Antonio Romanucci traveled to Minneapolis on Wednesday to meet with the family, the law firm told The Minnesota Star Tribune.

Shortly after Good's death was reported on Jan. 7, the Romanucci law firm called the deadly shooting "utterly senseless."
