The NFL coaching cycle has been unpredictable and wild, and has resulted in a whopping nine open jobs ahead of the NFL's divisional round. On Jan. 13, the coaching cycle took another insane twist, when the Pittsburgh Steelers announced head coach Mike Tomlin would step down from his position.

Tomlin, the NFL's longest-tenured coach, became the first to willingly leave his post, with the eight other coaches handed their walking papers before him.

The Tennessee Titans were the first to move on from their coach this season, firing Brian Callahan in October. The New York Giants made Brian Daboll the next and final regular-season coaching casualty, axing him in November.

With the NFL playoffs still in effect, some jobs are still in limbo as teams wrap up their seasons, whether that's in the divisional round or beyond. Here are the latest head coach openings:
