An 88-year-old man shot dead his 83-year-old wife, who had been ill for some time, before turning the gun on himself, taking his own life, near Novara on Tuesday.
The initial reconstruction of the two elderly people found dead in Cameri, in the province of Novara was a murder-suicide.
The couple lived in a house on Ceppo Street, a residential area of ;;the municipality in the western Ticino region.
The large-caliber weapon was legally owned.
The alarm was raised in the late morning, and the Carabinieri and the coroner rushed to the scene, who pronounced both people dead.
