Two earthquakes hit the Emilia-Romagna citiesof Forlì and Ravenna Tuesday causing no damage but bringing people into the streets.
The tremor that struck Forlì was magnitude 4-4.5 and the Ravenna one 4.1-4.3.
Trains were temporarily halted in the region for checks for possible damage to tracks.
Some 20 trains were cancelled.
Earthquakes are rare in the area.
