My personal style signifier is constantly evolving, but in the past few years it’s become more monochromatic and simple. A fitted T-shirt, preferably wool. Classic trousers. No belt. I have a very plain silhouette with a striking accessory to add a little touch of elegance — a Cartier Santos-Dumont watch, for example. I hate clutter.

The place that means a lot to me is Konitsa, a town on the Aoös river, which is like the Scottish Highlands of Greece. It’s a Unesco-protected space with rivers, canyons and mountains. I lived there until I was 18 when I left to study medicine in Italy, then moved to London to specialise in ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery. I’ve been moving around for the past 13 years — to LA, then back to London — but no matter how far you go, it’s important to reconnect with your ancestral land. It’s a safe place you can always return to.
