The Kaumara Madalayam at Chinnavedampatti in Coimbatore will celebrate the 69th Guru Pooja of Siruvai Adheenam founder Ramananda Swamigal on January 5 and 6.

A statement from the Adheenam said that the Guru Pooja ceremonies will be held under the leadership of Ramananda Kumaragurubara Swamigal, the fourth and present pontiff.

The celebrations on January 5 include cultural programmes from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Religious events to strengthen the faith of the devotees will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., ending with annadanam, on January 6.

The concluding ceremonies to be held at the auditorium on the premises of the Adheenam from 2 p.m. on the second day include releasing of more than five books, presentation of awards to achievers from various fields and a chariot procession (ratha yatra) of the Guru Maha Sannidhanam. The statue of Ramananda Swamigal will be enshrined in a decorated chariot.

Spiritual leaders, other dignitaries and a large number of devotees are expected to participate in the celebrations.
