The air intelligence unit of the Customs on Saturday (December 27, 2025) seized 4.3 kg of suspected hybrid ganja from two passengers who landed at the Cochin International Airport.
The suspected narcotics item, worth ₹4.3 crore, was seized from Shanavas Meethal Peedikayil and Abdul Nazar, both from Kozhikode, who arrived at 1:25 am by a Thai AirAsia flight from Phuket International Airport.
The contraband is suspected to have been smuggled in view of the New Year celebrations, Customs sources said.
