District Election Officer and District Collector R. Brindha Devi said that special camps in connection with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls–2026 will be conducted across the district on December 27 and 28, 2025, and January 3 and 4, 2026.

In a press release, she said that, as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the process for the SIR of the draft electoral rolls for 2026 commenced on December 19, 2025. Accordingly, the draft electoral rolls for the 11 Assembly constituencies in the district were published on the same day, and the revision work will continue till January 18, 2026.

The special camps will be held at 1,346 polling stations covering all the Assembly constituencies, on the notified dates. The camps will function from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at a total of 3,468 polling stations across the district.

Persons who have attained 18 years of age as on January 1, 2026 (born on or before December 31, 2007), those whose names are missing from the electoral rolls, and those seeking inclusion of their names should apply using Form 6. Form 7 is meant for deletion of names, while Form 8 should be used for change of residence, correction of entries, issue of replacement of Elector Photo Identity Cards, and for marking persons with disabilities.
