YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLC Botcha Satyanarayana on Tuesday (23 December 2025) criticised the language used by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and asked the Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief to refrain from making reckless statements. The former Minister also questioned the government for failing to take action against the increasing number of gambling dens in the Godavari districts and the illegal transportation of lakhs of tonnes of PDS rice through seaports.
Addressing a press conference at his camp office in Lawsons Bay Colony here on Tuesday, Mr. Botcha Satyanarayana said that the State is witnessing atrocities against women and there is increase in the crime rate. Reports of contaminated food being served in welfare hostels are being reported, so why is the Deputy CM silent, he questioned.
“The Deputy Chief Minister claims that urea prices have increased in the State due to the Ukraine war. If the war is truly the reason for increased demand and shortage of urea, then urea shortage should exist across the country. How is it available in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, and even neighbouring Odisha? Why is it unavailable only in Andhra Pradesh?” he questioned.
Mr. Botcha Satyanarayana also took a dig at the government’s recent programme ‘Mustabu’. He alleged that the government ignored excellent programmes like ‘Nadu Nedu’ and cannot even ensure basic drinking water supply in schools, but talks about implementing ‘Mustabu’.
