The newly appointed national working president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nitin Nabin, on Tuesday (December 23, 2025) received a grand welcome on his first visit to Bihar after assuming charge last week.
Addressing party workers at Miller High School in Patna, Mr. Nabin said that everyone had to live up to the expectations of people after winning 202 seats in Bihar.

On his first visit to his hometown, the Bankipore MLA also used the occasion to attack Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, calling him a “part-time” politician. The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha defamed the name of the country whenever he made a foreign visit, Mr. Nabin alleged.
“We do not want to do part-time politics like Rahul Gandhi. The people of Bihar chased Rahul away so much that he ended up settling in Germany where he is defaming the name of our country,” Mr. Nabin said.
