Pittsburgh Steelers receiver DK Metcalf pulled a fan in the stands toward him and lashed out at his face during a game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Another clip appears to show Metcalf striking at the fan and pulling him down, perhaps by the shirt.
The blue-hair-wigged fan, who identified himself as Ryan Kennedy from Pinckney, Michigan, said Metcalf got angry when he addressed the longtime star by his full name, DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf.
“I called him that and then he grabbed me and ripped my shirt,” Kennedy told the Detroit Free Press. “I’m a little shocked. Like everyone’s talking to me. I’m a little rattled, but I just want the Lions to win, baby.”
The Lions did not win, and after the Steelers’ 29-24 victory, Metcalf could be suspended and fined by the NFL.
