Araku MP Gumma Thanuja Rani, accompanied by District Collector A. S. Dinesh Kumar, flagged off 10 new ambulances at the Integrated Tribal Development Agency(ITDA) office in Paderu of Alluri Sitharama Raju district on Saturday.
The ambulances were procured with funds sanctioned from the Parliamentary Development Fund of former Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy and are aimed at facilitating swift transportation of patients from remote tribal areas to government hospitals during emergencies.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Thanuja Rani said the new ambulances would play a crucial role in providing timely medical assistance to people living in interior villages. She urged tribal communities to make proper use of the service to access government healthcare facilities in emergency situations.
Mr. Dinesh Kumar said the addition of the ambulances would further strengthen healthcare infrastructure in tribal areas. Paderu MLA M. Vishweswararaju, former MLA Giddi Eswari, District Medical and Health Officer D. Krishnamurthy Naik and others were present.
