Kerala High Court on Friday (December 19, 2025) dismissed the bail pleas of three former officials of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) who had been arraigned as accused in the alleged misappropriation of gold from the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple.
A Bench of Justice A. Badharudeen dismissed the pleas of Murari Babu, former TDB administrative officer, N. Vasu, former president of the board, and K.S. Baiju, former Thiruvabharanam Commissioner.
They had been charged by a special investigation team (SIT) that is probing the case in connection with the alleged misappropriation of gold from the Dwarapalaka idols and from the temple door’s side frames.
They face a slew of charges under the Indian Penal Code, including criminal conspiracy and charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
