“Late Night” host Seth Meyers clowned Donald Trump on Monday for his years of “bitching and moaning” about people not saying “Merry Christmas” anymore only to not rectify the situation at this year’s White House Christmas reception.
The president, in remarks over the weekend, told a story about White House physician Dr. James Jones surviving a bite from a poisonous viper while hiking in the Peruvian jungle with Barack Obama’s daughters.
“It’s known for being a rather rough place in terms of physical creatures crawling around,” said Trump, who claimed that a bite from the particular species kills tens of thousands of people each year.
He continued, “Final day, final two hours, he gets hit by a viper, right? This is a terrible Christmas story but it’s a hell of a story.”
Meyers reacted to the clip.
