Un sospettato è ricercato dalla polizia dopo aver fatto fuoco nel campus della Brown University a Providence, Rhode Island, secondo un allarme diffuso dall’università.
L’avviso partito alle 16.22 (ora locale, le 22.22 in Italia) chiede agli studenti di restare nascosti fino a nuovo ordine, chiudendo porte e silenziando i telefoni. Sarebbero almeno 20 le persone rimaste ferite, secondo i media statunitensi. Al momento non si hanno notizie di morti. Ma non ci sono conferme ufficiali.
Trump ha fatto sapere di essere informato: «L'Fbi è sul posto. Il sospettato è stato arrestato. Che Dio benedica le vittime e le loro famiglie!», ha scritto su Truth.
