Sza blasted the White House as “Evil n Boring” after it used her music in an ICE video earlier this week.
The White House clip, titled “WE HEARD IT’S CUFFING SZN,” features a track that the singer/songwriter performed in a “Saturday Night Live” sketch called “Big Boys,” which focuses on settling down with someone in the winter months.
The White House’s ad, meanwhile, shows federal agents handcuffing immigrants as Sza’s song plays in the background.
“White House rage baiting artists for free promo is PEAK DARK ..inhumanity +shock and aw tactics ..Evil n Boring ,” Sza wrote in a Wednesday post on X.
Her post also cited a message from her manager, Punch, who seemed to suggest that the Trump administration was trying to provoke artists so that it could gain attention for its “propaganda and political agendas.” It’s “nasty business,” Punch wrote. “Knock it off.”
