Dec. 8 (UPI) -- A person of interest in the shooting of New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd reportedly was taken into custody in Buffalo, N.Y., on Monday.
The U.S. Marshals Service apprehended the 20-year-old unidentified man at an apartment complex near the University of Buffalo's North Campus, sources told The New York Post.
WABC-TV reported he was from the Bronx, and would return to New York City to face charges. The New York Police Department aided in the apprehension, NBC News reported.
Shortly after 2 a.m. on Nov. 16, Boyd was with two teammates, cornerback Jamien Sherwood and wide receiver Irvin Charles, at a Manhattan restaurant and bar at Seventh Avenue and West 38th Street.
