Netflix removed casting support from mobile devices to “most” TVs and streaming devices this month, according to a help page on the streamer’s website, clamping down on its rules and pushing users toward its more expensive plans and native TV apps.
Netflix dropped casting and said most users will need to use the remote that came with their TV or TV-streaming device to access Netflix, instead of using their mobile devices.
Older versions of Google’s streaming device, Chromecast, or TVs that support Google Cast, still having casting support, according to Netflix.
