While Google slashes the prices of the Pixel 10 and Pixel 9 for Black Friday, new AI animation and image creation tools are coming to older Google Pixel phones soon, according to an updated support article.
Spotted by 9To5Google, Google updated its support page for the Pixel Studio app with details about an option to create animations. For the uninitiated, Pixel Studio lets Pixel phone users create and edit images with text-to-image prompts. This includes making new AI pictures from scratch or editing camera shots with generative AI help.
That feature suite will now include turning static pictures into animations after they’re created. An “animate image” option will pop up, where users can enter a prompt, or Google will suggest one, to turn the picture into an animation. This Pixel Studio animation feature will likely support sharing as GIF or WebP files, too. Despite the updated Google support article, the animation feature isn’t available yet. It could be for the next feature drop, though.
