LONDON: A Jordanian mobile bakery in the Gaza Strip has produced a total of 11,797,580 loaves of bread since January in the Palestinian coastal region.

The World Central Kitchen, which operates the bakery, said that the initiative produces nearly 70,000 loaves daily to ensure an uninterrupted supply of bread to various areas in Gaza.

The mobile bakery arrived in Gaza in December 2024 as part of a royal initiative to alleviate Palestinian suffering.

Over the past two years, Israel has restricted the entry of essential food into Gaza, including flour, and at times entirely blocked humanitarian aid.

The Jordanian mobile bakery and WCK’s initiatives were among the few that supported Palestinians. WCK is an international nongovernmental organization that provides meals and food aid to those affected by crises and conflicts worldwide.
