Promoted by the Saudi Motorsport Company, in cooperation with the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport, the first WRC round ever held in the Kingdom will feature 82 drivers and co-drivers representing 25 nationalities across three categories, with Next Gen alumnus Hamza Bakhashab (RC2) and veteran driver Saeed Al-Mouri (RC3) proudly representing Saudi Arabia in this landmark home event.
Hamza Bakhashab, competing in the RC2 category and a graduate of the Saudi Next Gen driver-development program, enters the competition as one of the Kingdom’s most exciting young talents. At just 20 years old, he secured two wins in the 2024 Saudi Toyota Championship and earned multiple podiums in the 2023 Time Attack series, before taking first place in Hill Climb in 2025 and later winning the FIA Middle East Baja Cup title in the SSV category for the 2025 season. His rapid progression across national events has positioned him as a strong contender, and through the Saudi Next Gen programme he now makes his FIA World Rally Championship debut, marking a major milestone in his developing international career.
