Campfire Audio is celebrating its tenth anniversary this fall with the launch of Andromeda 10, an updated interpretation of the earphone that established the boutique brand’s reputation and went on to have a massive influence on modern in-ear monitor design. I’ve written about the company’s IEMs a lot and thought it would be good to look at the evolution of what has become a classic in IEM design.

For the past decade, the distinctive green shell of Campfire’s Andromeda IEM, with its balanced tuning and technical ambition, have defined the Portland-based company’s overall aesthetic and approach to engineering.

It’s something of an authentic reflection of Campfire’s core values, revolving around craft, precision and artistry. As the company looks to the future, the story of Andromeda’s evolution neatly encapsulates how a single design has become an enduring symbol of both sound and identity.
