There have been 11 cases of Legionnaire's Disease in Milan and one death from the disease, the local health authority (ATS) said Friday.

Regarding the Legionella outbreak in Milan's San Siro district, the ATS said that one patient is still hospitalized.

The cases, which are not connected to each other, all live in different buildings.

Investigations have begun to identify the source of the infection, sampling the homes of the cases, except for one that is inaccessible, and some control homes, for a total of 29 homes.

The results currently available from four homes—two cases and two controls—have revealed a single positive result in the control home, which has been followed by instructions for decontamination.
