A global tour, album release that hit (and remains on) the Billboard 200, five Grammy nominations and a feature film debut. 2025 has been a busy year for Tyler, the Creator.
Honoring the hip-hop artist's passion and tenacity, Apple Music named Tyler, the Creator its 2025 Artist of the Year on Nov. 20. The music platform recognized the hip-hop artist's successful Chromakopia: The World Tour, which ran from February to September of this year, and his ninth studio album, "Don't Tap the Glass," written, recorded and released during the tour. The album's hit single "Sugar On My Tongue," has remained on Billboard's Top 100 for 17 weeks, as of Nov. 20.
"Tyler continues to prove that anything is possible. His creativity has been incredible all year. His creative risk-taking is only matched by the care he takes to present it, and he inspires his peers and fans now, just as he will continue to inspire generations to come," Zane Lowe, Apple Music global creative director, said in a news release.
