When you’re trying to pivot your career to a new industry, you’re asking a prospective employer to take a leap of faith. Only part of the risk is whether or not you have the skills to do the job. In addition, you have to prove you’ll fit into the new industry, its people and how they do things. It takes time and money to hire and onboard people. Will you stick around, or are you just interested in the next new thing? Will you contribute from Day One or be an extra burden?
