Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has sought the cooperation of the Central government by expeditiously granting approvals for the major projects proposed by the State government.
The State has forwarded several proposals for development of Hyderabad as a global city and the Centre should speedily give its consent for these projects. The projects include expansion of metro tail, regional ring road, diversion of Godavari river water and rejuvenation of Musi river, among others and they need cooperation from the Centre for their speedy completion. This was in addition to deploying 3,000 electric buses in Hyderabad to significantly reduce pollution.
The Chief Minister made the request participating in the regional meeting of the Urban Development ministers here on Tuesday (November 18). He requested Union Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to cooperate with the State government in the development of Hyderabad.
He told the participants about the State government’s plans to develop Telangana as US $ one trillion economy by 2034 and US $ 3 trillion economy by 2047. Recalling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plans to develop the country as a US $ 30 trillion economy by 2047 in tune with the Viksit Bharat vision, he said the Telangana government had set an ambitious target of contributing at least 10% to the national economy by the time frame set by the Centre.
