CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten on Monday broke down how Latinos — a group that played a key role in Donald Trump’s 2024 election win — have soured on the president since the early weeks of his second term.
“Whatever Donald Trump is doing in office in the minds of Latinos, it is not working. They have turned against him in massive, massive numbers,” he said.
Enten — citing CBS News/YouGov polling — highlighted how the president’s net approval rating (percent who approve minus those who disapprove) among Latinos dropped from -2 points in early February to -34 in late October.
He stressed that the average poll shows “very similar” shifts in Trump’s net approval rating with Latinos.
Earlier in the segment, Enten turned to an aggregate of polling showing that Trump has a net approval rating of -38 points among Latino voters when it comes to his handling of immigration.
