Nov. 14 (UPI) -- A deer smashed through a window at a junior high school cafeteria in Amherst, Ohio, as staff were preparing breakfast for the school's students.
Students and staff were stunned when the deer made its surprise entrance through a large windowpane at full speed, according to reports.
"As shocking as the event was to witness, we are happy to report that no significant injuries took place, although a couple of students and staff members were present in the cafeteria when the deer came through the window," Amherst Junior High principal Andrew Hoffman said in a press release.
The deer crashed through the window around 7:20 a.m. as cafeteria employees were starting to serve breakfast to students, according to Hoffman.
Video of the incident the school shared with media outlets shows two deer running across sidewalks in front of the school when one of the deer is seen charging directly at the windows near the schools bus loop and bicycle racks.
