The CBSE State Kalotsav got off to a colourful start at Labour India Public School, Marangattupilly, on Wednesday.

Inaugurating the event, Jose K. Mani, MP, called upon the government and school managements to explore the possibility of conducting the State School Arts Festival and the CBSE State Kalotsav together in the coming years.

The event this year has brought together over 10,000 students competing in 140 events across 35 stages. The event is being organised under the leadership of the Confederation of Kerala Sahodaya Complexes.

Santhosh George Kulangara delivered the keynote address. Labour India School Principal Suja K. George, Labour India Institutions chairman George Kulangara, Confederation of Sahodaya president Joji Paul, STEAM Academy president A. P. Jayaraman, general secretary Deepa Chandran, Core Committee convener Benny George, and Fr. George Punchayil also addressed the gathering.
