Kashmir’s chief cleric, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, condemned the Red Fort blast on Tuesday (November 11, 2025), and imprisoned Kashmiri MP, Engineer Rashid, of the Awami Ittehad Party (AIP), is to hold a two-day hunger strike to condemn the deaths.

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic car blast in Delhi that has claimed precious lives and injured many. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the swift recovery of those injured. May almighty Allah grant strength and patience to all affected by this tragedy,” the Mirwaiz said, in a post on X.

MP Rashid, imprisoned at the Tihar Jail, Delhi, decided to start a two-day hunger protest against the attack from November 12, according to his party. “Er. Rashid has formally notified the Tihar Jail authorities of his decision to begin a two-day hunger strike from 12 November (Wednesday) inside Jail No. 1,” said AIP spokesperson Inam Un Nabi.
