Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez is no longer employed as a Fox Sports analyst after his October arrest, the network told UPI on Friday.

"We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network," a Fox Sports spokesperson said. "There will be no further comment at this time."

Fox Sports announced on Friday that longtime former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees joined the network as a game analyst. He will replace Sanchez and join a broadcast crew with Adam Amin and Kristina Pink.

"I appreciate the opportunity Fox has given me in the booth and with their team," Brees said in a news release. "I hope my passion for this game is reflected in the knowledge and insights I provide to the fans each Sunday."
