“Daily Show” correspondent Jordan Klepper on Wednesday mocked right-wing talk of a so-called “mass exodus” out of New York City following democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral election win.
Klepper turned his attention to how some New Yorkers are “processing their emotions” before playing a supercut of conservative media figures remarking on those who look to flee the Big Apple.
“Wow! You’re telling me 9% of apartments are about to become available?” said Klepper in response to Fox News coverage of a poll shared by the Daily Mail.
“Holy shit! That would be the fastest a mayor has ever delivered on a campaign promise.”
Klepper went on to clarify that he doesn’t want one million people to leave New York City.
