Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene amplified her recent turn from President Donald Trump during an appearance on “The View” on Tuesday in which she broke from Trump on several hot-button issues and again blamed her male Republican colleagues for the ongoing government shutdown.
Greene, who has been increasingly critical of her own party in recent weeks, said on the talk show that it was Republicans who failed to plan ahead for the upcoming expiration of federal tax credits under the Affordable Care Act, the major issue dividing Congress and driving the continued government shutdown.
She called for an extension to the subsidies—the primary goal of the Senate Democrats—and said she "yelled at (Republican House Speaker) Mike Johnson” on a recent GOP conference call over her party’s handling of the shutdown.
