TORONTO — World Series Game 7 really is made for Hollywood, and not just due to the inherent drama of a winner-takes-all game.
Simply, it is a time when the screenwriters can lay out the script, but the directors will ultimately take the plot where it’s destined to go.
And that brings us to Game 7 at Rogers Centre, Dodgers-Blue Jays, the former aiming for Major League Baseball’s first repeat championship since 2000, the latter seeking Canada’s first Commissioner’s Trophy since 1993.
All hands on deck? Pretty much. All 12 Blue Jays pitchers on the roster are available, manager John Schneider says, while Dodgers counterpart Dave Roberts says all but Game 6 hero Yoshinobu Yamamoto are available..
“We’re expecting everybody for them to be ready,” said Schneider about three hours before first pitch.
